Geoff Tunnicliffe

Geoff Tunnicliffe is the Chief Executive Officer/Secretary General for the World Evangelical Alliance since 2005, representing a global constituency of 600 million Christians.[1]

Career

Dr. Tunnicliffe's work has taken him to over 100 countries. He has served as the executive directory of an international agency and an organizational consultant. From 1999-2002 he led a multi-national team to develop the Refugee Highway Partnership, a World Evangelical Alliance network that builds collaboration among the 350 organizations serving refugees around the world.[2]

He also serves on the board of Micah Challenge International.[3] The Micah Challenge is a global campaign of the World Evangelical Alliance and the Micah Network to mobilize Christians against poverty. The campaign aims to deepen Christian engagement with impoverished and marginalized communities, and to influence leaders of rich and poor nations to fulfill tier promise to achieve the Millennium Development Goals.

In addition to numerous magazine articles, Dr. Tunnicliffe has authored several books, including "101 Ways to Change Your World.""

He frequently speaks at churches, conventions, and universities, on major global issues such as poverty, HIV/AIDS, human trafficking, human rights, interfaith dialogue and spirituality. He regularly meets with government leaders and members of the media to provide an evangelical Christian perspective to current events. [4] .[5] [6] [7] [8]

Biography

Geoff and his wife Jewel live in Vancouver, Canada and New York City. They have two adult children, Justin and Natasha.
